architectural metallurgy conceptual design

the plasticity of folding and bending metal is visually stimulating - nothing new in architecture. however it is always with a complete fascination of form that one explores various mediums of architectural expression.

to assemble a sculpture using vehicle body parts brings both form and vibrant color to the end product design. color being to my mind as important as  form.

these architectural metallurgy studies help unpack an understanding of shape and complimentary color - not yours but my simple understanding. that is what makes this exploration process most enjoyable. like the cubist painters imagining the drama inside the space, whilst dabbling in creating the shell from all sides. its this extended imaginative process i find most pleasurable.
