Perpetual Motion Advertising Vehicle - PMAV

Over the last 4 years ive released about 10
p-mav's - wild wildetecture ideas in a bottle. Released into the wild ocean around the southern tip of Africa. About 8 add crossing folders at various art galleries and coffee shops. Each p-mav (perpetual motion advertising vehicle) is equipped with puzzles and clues leading across the internet and back to reality - A kind of dan brown approach i suppose. i have a few blogs that drop a clue or 2, as well as a few websites. All leading back to this site. The idea is to find the bottle - Pour over the clues in it and find your way to this site. As previously stated this leads the treasure hunter to a bottle of Jack compliments QJD design studio - However the would be Daniels extractor would have to furbish info from the bottle found from the sea to claim the liquid treasure.

As a frothing mad,  avid beach comber it has always been a desire of mine to find a message in a bottle. So i decided to entertain my own message in a bottle campaign. I released a P -mav into the ocean off Arniston 4 years ago. And i was very excited to  get a call over a year or so later to say it had been found. The lady left a message on my  phone to say she had worked out it was me who let the bottle free. I never followed up on the call at the time - A little embarrassed i had been found out so easily. (absolutely weird i know.) I was pretty chuffed  about this  simple little exploit. My p-mav's now are a little better populated and more difficult to fathom. - They have numbers and i now know times and dates of release - We always harvist 2 drifting bottles out the ocean before throwing 1 back.
The folders are stacked with  drawing equipment , pencils and post cards of arty things. Something i would like to find on some deserted beach. Barnicle encrusted and mysterious, red rackems treasure awaits the intrepid explorer. Get people away from the screens and into the real.

Trying to weld the unreality of a sterile internet environment with the tangible reality of a touchable treasure map is a simple yet exciting venture.

Perpetual motion advertising campaign - p-mac using a p-mav

The concept of wilde-crossing using wilde-message-in-a-bottle and wilde-book-folders is to perpetuate an advertising platform for off the grid fellow creatives. The idea is when finding a wilde-bottle on a remote cape beach or a wilde-folder in a cafe/ art gallery, train or bench in and around cape town. - Is to email the time of capture, date and whereabouts from the clues you find in the treasure maps provided. - Nose around in the contents - Reading the short stories and looking at the information. So really its a puzzle interactive advertising vehicle. A perpetual motion advertising vehicle.

Heres the difference to the advertising vehicle being static. You are encouraged to add an item to the bottle, folder and then re-release. So after checking the contents following the clues and  before re-releasing You must add your own creative inspiration and then let  the perpetual motion advertising vehicle (pmav)  go again in the wild. - You will add your hitchhiking info-on top of whats there - Hopefully full of cryptic puzzles and clever messages all leading folk around the internet perhaps to your own puzzle crazy blog. Each wilde-bottle and each wilde-folder is numbered and with the participation from you the person in the wild. Its journey will will be captured and followed.

The wilde-crossing advertising concept has cryptic puzzles and clues welding science fiction stories, art and african fauvistic architectural ideals. The equations are all awaiting the solving from the person who has found the perpetual -motion-advertising-vehicle. PMAV.

So if you are reading this , and youve found your way here from the cryptic clues in the bottle or folder. Tell us where you found it, when, and the number and tell us where you intend letting it go again? We will follow the progress of each wilde-adverting-vehicle and document the perpetual advertising motion of the pmav.

The pmav concept blurs the lines between online puzzles and treasure map reality. Creating an art piece whereby you as the public become involved - art that involves participation.

In our first wilde-add-campaign in and around cape town we have let go 13 pmav's - 5 wilde-books and 8 wilde-bottles. email us and tell us where you found the bottle and where you intend letting it go - the wildetects are awaiting your response. Qjd@wildetecture.com

remember -1) time ,2) date ,3) where , - 4) where and when are you planning to let the pmav go again with your additional hitchhiking information. - If you have worked through the puzzles and found your way here using google - you have cracked this series of advertising in the wild. lets hear from you.

Welldone for your puzzle solving techniques.
