Kinetic architectural shadow projection - wildetecture

To create a coral scape space wildetecture conceptual urban landscape built environment. A new point of design departure needs to be imagined. What if the point of departure design went way beyond its obvious function. Creating an over and above concept or task for the design to acheive.

Case study 3 - Shadow projections on muizenberg beach using designed for shadow purpose building landscapes-Proposed erxell development no 1.

What if the focus of the design was to create a shadow of a sphere that moved along the beach as the sun set during a few summer months of the year. This would dramatically create structures and shapes that would evolve from this design exercise. It would change our inherited box like thinking and create a series of shapes not yet seen. Not yet even imagined. This to accomplish the task of the shadow dictates and knows the outcome.  The shadow design process will determine the outcome of the buildings form. Take architectural sculptural designing away from human thought and make it into artistic task driven shadow sculpture. Get rid of the architect, let the shadow take over the design. Nows there is a very exciting thought for a wildetecture minute.

To my little mind (regrettably what im about to write, sadly, if it isnt the absolute truth. Prove me wrong)  As much as 80% of mans architectural designs and endeavours are simply drab structures, dull, lifeless and have absolutely no feel of any imagination. It's as if a gaggle of cost cutting accountants are the only professionals on the design team.

To my mind to achieve real Vision, Imagination and Depth to any proposed structure. Architectural forms need to go way beyond one basic living function. So for a building or buildings to create an A.S.P (architectural shadow projection) with the sunlight, it will take immense planning. The architectural forms that evolve out of this planning design process will completely change the architectural landscape. Why? Because the end product structure is not controlled by man's design thinking but the need to create a dynamic sculpture ftom the structures shadows. This will help our structures to become more than just big boxes, little boxes,  small boxes. Our creative point of departure would completely change. To truly show that we understand the subtle nuances of light and shadow - Should not our structures create sculpture within the shadows.
