To my mind ( regrettably what im about to write sounds rather arrogant - sadly if it wasnt the absolute truth, it would be) As much as 80% of mans architectural endeavours are simply drab, dull and have absolutely no imagination. It's As if a gaggle of accountants where the only professionals on the design team.
To achieve real Vision, Imagination and Depth to any proposed structure , architectural forms need to go way beyond one function. So for a building or buildings to create an A.S.P with the sun, it will take immense planning. The architectural forms that evolve out of this planning design process will completely change the architectural landscape. Why? because the end product structure is not controlled by man's design thinking but the need to create a dynamic sculpture in the shadows. This will help our structures to become more than just big boxes, little boxes, small boxes, our creative point of departure would completely change. To truly show that we understand the nuances of light and shadow - should not our structures create sculpture within the shadow.
