Sights through the ether - QJD design studio - Umkhomba

Cape Town is a dynamic fusion of craft food , creative design, nature and radically diverse cultures - It really has an incredible energy. It is to my mind quiet possibly one of the best places to come up with creative conceptual design ideas. 

I was invited to look at a design for a 90 seat restaurant. Set in the cape mountains with spectacular views over a pristine Cape beach. - The first point of design departure with a site like this for me is the nature and the history of the site.

These roughed out sketches of the design are starting to take shape - A long way to go still - but slowly the design sight becomes clearer through the ether. Fynbos inspired structural architectural dynamics.
