The beauty of life to my mind is to have the time to simply sketch conceptual design ideas freely. With no pressure or deadline in place, a vast array of books and much external influences at the ready. One allows the mind to simply wonder. For me there is much solace in such an adventure. I have seen the moment in others when what used to inspire them is not exciting anymore. That moment when the frivolous undertaking of everything has lost its lustre. The moment when life loses its sparkle, its an inevitability for some, however if you can push that eventuality back for as long as possible. Oh how you will enjoy spending time doing conceptual designs and spending time like what you do is going to make a small difference. Even if that small difference is just for you.
There is far to much emphasis put on formal artistic study. And yes, study is true for all the deeply analytical subjects engineering, medicine and science. Art to my mind is best filtered through the unfettered restraints of others. Not the domineering influences of everyone who has an artistic opinion. Well everyone really who brandishes their artistic opinions about like a bull whip. Wildetecture creative design has been for me to push my own imaginative creativity. So much these days is mundane and everyday and sometimes one yearns for something wild and different. Well i do anyway, and then i like to spend an afternoon pottering around my books and sketchbooks. With not a care in the world. Listening to scratchy records and squint blurred eye looking through the ether of possible design future vision outcomes. That still buzzes me. Also enjoying a free wheeling conversation around a subject im not familiar with is always fun. Dont lose your artistic mojo because someone doesnt like your creative process. I would lose that person from my list of conversation must have withs, than lose my artistic mojo. Just saying.
