What Wildetecture does for inspiration?
A wildetecture Capetonian in a Muizenberg waterfront design idea court - this is not Connecticut? i have a design brief tomorrow morning, well today really and its 4am and im sketching concepts for the waterfront design committee. Trying to pull a wildetecture style design idea concept into fruition. Looking to put forward a design idea wildetecture sculpture within the V & A waterfront. Much like our wildetecture whale sculpture hanging in the red shed. Some roughed out conceptual sketches below. The proteas are the never fail inspirational architectural entity when your stuck for wild Capetonian type concept ideas. Just looking at the sculpture of this beautiful king protea flower. How it opens the creative mind then grasps a plethora of wild design ideas. Lets see if this set of sketches leads to any sort of outcome? The idea of the scarab design concept is that it suspends gravity. Has anti gravity capabilities. Design is a synaptic process of the mind. One needs to unlock known pathways for those less travelled. Thats the challenge, to try and think not like yourself. I find sketch helps with this process, the hand eye coordination process. Realigning ones thought process with certain music, melodious music. Not the jaring of dance music, that leads more to a trance type outcome for me. Where im not cognitively thinking and 100% engaged. These are my own experiences, so you do you as long as your getting outcomes of design end products.
