The longer we live and older we get. It has been my experience that i have started to say less. Not because i have less to say but because i have been humbled by so many things before i open my mouth. When we are young and feel we have talent to simply express ideas freely. We outlay our artistic mindseye without a thought of is this relevant or even worth the time. Now with much more wear and tear under my hood. Expressing my creative ideas is less urgent. As i want to take in more inspiration first before i wildly interpret creative ideas into the open. Expose my limited thinking to the world.
Its more for me about contemplative artistic creativity. Not so much reactive fly by the seat of my artistic pants fill the space expression. Maturity affords us deep thought processes through life experiences. Youth is the confidence you know better because your not weighed down by life experiences. Both processes yield creative outcomes. They are both different in process and the outcomes are always exciting. However as im aging im thinking more, producing less. I thought it would be the other way round. With more life experience i would produce more. However experience stops me before i even start exploring an idea. Ive already told myself the idea is not worth the effort. I miss the days when any design concept that entered my mind was fleshed out and entertained easily.
