QJD design studio - Podocarpus henkelii design sketches

A head chef of a restuarant approached me to design a restaurant with incredible views of Noordhoek beach. Obviously i jumped to the  privilege. Its not the first restuarant weve designed as wildetecture. The site was incredible, as we left the beaten path and ventured deep into the bush. I couldn't help but remember the one time not far from this place,  myself and the client had a site discussion around an as yet to be seen huge model puffadder snake. Fortunately it was a designer like puffy. An FLW type not a Genghis Kahn type. He was a big boy and seemed to approve of the new neighbors fortunately. Or it could've been a large lady, didnt stick around to get acquainted.

The creative design process is set off by site, client energy and whether or not one is invested in the project. This project was fun. Nothing as yet has materialised. But the process of conceptualising is a practiced skill. How you gonna improve if you dont practice?
