QJD design studio wildetecture creates living space wrapped in sculpture

Home designed by QJD design studio in houtbay cape town with a french nautique flair in 2005 or so. The client was a sea captain. This design has many ship details running throughout. 

We drove up to Thesen Island in Knysna for me to do some R and D. It was an epic trip of discussing floating floor ceilings to cover the in door pool, port holes and walking the plank. Really enjoyed the process of design in this project.
