Wildetecture started as a whispered idea in 2009 and has grown for us into a full blown inferno conversation. Even if its just artistic dialogue between the 3 of us.
From thos3 whispeted beginnings, its now an architectural studio that hand picks projects based on no real criteria. From houses in informal settlements, the design done for free and building materials sponsored by clients. To homes amongst those who dont mind the wild. Weve done alterations, libraries, aquatic centers, schools, restuarants and even redesigned and wildetecturised sports equipment.
The age old adage of lets see your portfolio of creative work, as it will speak volumes about your abilities, is what weve endeavored to leave behind as skeletal evidence of our creative thoughts. The flesh as always is the current conversation, right this second " creative thought process", the current conversations. The wild energy behind simply trying to design idea think outloud. The flesh is the conversation lost as always to the Four winds and the thin air. Like fossil dinasuar bones that current scientists pontificately (yip i wrote that word that doesnt exist - bite me) imagine the flesh around. Who really knows what was in that exact moment, only a stone remnant remains for us to now imagine an entire creature around.
Here is a few wildetecture style Africa fauvistic design sketches. We are working towards another art exhibition of our work. Weve had a few exhibitions over the years. An almost embarrassed foray into the harsh world of artistic critical expression. The work being boldly exhibited in raw undiluted form, it wasnt about the individual artist. So we would set up our work and mill around incognito as the informed masses came in and ripped and tore shreds off the pieces through the critical artistic public eye process. We hoped people would understand the wild artistic energy. However it doesnt really work like that. People want an exact written, spoken tour artistic synopsis aligned with every artistic piece and the exact concept design ideas. Nobody has the time or energy to work out your rubbish, as an artist one thinks it lazyness, however its people are just so busy trying to live their own life. Now trying to figure out your artistic interpretations is much work and weve moved on from trying to figure out or care about other peoples artistic perspectives is a step to far. Be exact not ambiguous. The artistic mysteries distilled into a paperback moment of immediate tell me everything about your artistic perspective interpretation work. I prefer the artistic incognito aproach, the slow growth of a portfolio. Hiding in the midst of your own art exhibition. Listening to the this is complete crap frank brutal interpretations. Listening to the well informed art critic afficionado is rather enlightening. If not a brutal whip to your inner soul.
If our future art exhibition happens, great, if not, it's an exciting imaginative synapse for an artist to continue conceptualizing. Remember, design is as design does. Creativity is linked to a portfolio of wild evidence on display, So you know what to do, go and artistically create a portfolio of your own wild work. When you step out from behind the curtain. And dance, not many people gonna like your dancing style if your outside the norm. Um outside the box.
The approach of concentrating on the work left behind after the process. Focussing on the artistic creative work itself is better than trying to figure out the artist for me. The work is the conversation departure point, thats the current relevant stuff.
Me, im just an incognito artistic gallery operator. Hiding in plane sight at our own art exhibitions. Nobody knows what you look like. They just see a portly mediocre non artist looking person. So doing some behind the scene watching, you experience your artistic sensitive flesh being ripped, torn and flying off your art ego propped up body. As its ripped completely asunder you gain a perspective of your perceived artistic self. Whilst being ripped to pieces by minds far to astute to dare put their own artistic thoughts and talent infront of a baying for an artists blood audience. That would render the bilest (yip intentional, not vilest) of criticts far to vilenerable, oops vulnerable. Best to keep your own explanatory artistic perspectives well and truelly hidden. Dont want to start a maelstrom of personal artistic thought cacophony. Art exhibitions are for the talented, the exhibitionists, the egotist and the very brave. Not for those just experimenting with human nature when its confronted with chairs that are very uncomfortable to sit in, but look wild and very dangerous. "Oh look Agernito" (not a name, i know. This is my sketch and im running the show ok!) Where was i, Agernito! "Oh look, this art work is so childlike, silly, i dont like it. How much is it? Its not for sale? What?! They not selling their art work?" Moongus Bean (yip i know) retorts. "These big ego artists, peddling their rubbish, ha ha ha, Ha." (Yes i know, the last laugh was gratatutious) All the while i stand owl eyed sipping my way to small wine glass of gallery sponsored box red wine. Masochistically getting pummled to the canvas on the exhibition floor. ( iron mike & goerge foreman style) Its the reason why i dont sell my art work. Dont want these rip roaring conversations to be had without me being present. Even if im not known as the compiler of such art rubbish. I mean what is a dragon spine, mammoth, sabre tooth tucan chair anyway? Agernito, Moongus Bean its below. Well the first three pics is the mantis version, i lost the damn back rest for that art exhibition. The last photo is the mammoth really. Yip, i can just hear what you gotto say.
