Wildetectures vision for Muizenberg

Along the beach front in Muizenberg, from Sunrise circle towards Khayalitsha, along the Baden Powell rd towards the second circle, is a wild tract of land. Between the road and the sea. Its a zone that might be earmarked for 12 story built environment blocks of flats. If this is true or not, im not sure. If it is true then the design and building of this built environment eco system needs to be carefully thought out. None of this bish bash bosh informal built environment council land shinnanigans.

Wildetecture needs absolutely no permission to design any developement up. We simply design what interests us. And several years ago apon finding out this possibility we got design sparked. The conceptual wildetecture designs have been creatively flowing. Culminating in the Coralscape Muizenberg city conceptual design. Its an area I beachcomb infront of, well not so often now days due to the high crime in the non policed wilder zones. However you can find on a good early morning walk along this stretch, nautilus  shells. Well thats before the sea gulls get them, the gulls are well known marauders of the high sea. They love to eat the dead washed up squid like creature inside the washed up delicate shell and then they totally destroy everything. So between May - July we used to walk the beach with a torch, it is still dark, very early morning. The gulls cant sea at night you see. I wouldnt do it now not on your nelly, the gull marauders have been replaced by tik addicted human maraurders who also want to totally destroy your shell. Sad but true these wilder places at night are dangerous territories ive read, heard and seen. I hear this news from John and Peter the car gaurds, I share some food coffee and a chat with. Ol Johns an alcoholic, hard bit down on his luck avid reader guy. Living like a bergie, living very rough in the wild. He tells me at night bands of tik addicts prey on him and his fellow alcoholics living rough outdoors. He likens these tik addicts, they are like zombies. He reckons his addiction is ok because hes just an alcoholic, but the tik addicts are not human. This from John, ol Peter was attacked sleeping rough on the mountain the other night. (Incidentally in SA a homeless person who looks rough is termed a bergie. It means mountain person.) Ol Peter was set apon by a band of these tik addicts, who stabbed him multiple times and stole what little he had. These are the wild night stories of the Muizenberg homeless who sleep rough in and around Muizenberg. So great white sharks are not really whats going to eat you in the lineup. Its according to the hard bitten folk living rough in the wild areas. Its a different kind of predator and kind is not in the makeup. Anyway ive stopped beachcombing at night, dont need to interest the maraurding bands of the non gull tik variety. Incidentally if you accuse someone of, "Is jay tikka?", It means are you mad?

This leads me back to our Wildetecture Muizenberg Coralscape conceptual design idea. Design is all about being human first, all about creating adaptative ways of improving our environments and life. Taming a once wild land, with Tik addicts to the left of me, great white sharks to the right, your stuck in the middle with peter & john. I reckon with the high crime in all our communities. The more violent crime is in the more hard bitten areas unfortunately. And those sleeping rough they have violence the gardest. With policing of them and their plight is by all accounts completely non existent. (Just ask John and Peter, dont take my cushy bed existence as gospel) We need to tame the wild tik elements of this land. When the alcoholics say there are worse addicted people, who are capable of much violence. You gotto know theirs stuff out there in the shadows of the night that is frightening. Anyway because wildetecture designs from an empathy first process, in order to create ideas. One has to understand the socio human elements first. This starts at the very bottom up. Thats why truly getting to know the unseen amongst us is the way to building a future built environment. Doctors who are in medicine for the money first are not the doctors i want to see when im ill. My carcass is more valuable to them harvested and dead. So guess what the money leads to? The totally stripped  eventual cadaver!!!

Dont ever trust a man or woman completely consumed and driven by money. Your just in the way of their ambition for riches. They wont easily buy 2 takeaway coffees and sit with a John or a Peter and find out how they tick. Johns sadly now dead, his friends on the block say he died from an infected spider bite. I miss our long chats about everything. On the bench overlooking the sea and the Muizenberg walkway toward st james. John was actually a very clever chap who died a poets life. With no poetry left for anyone ever to read or  remember. Always with paperback folded back in hand and a bottle of old brown or whiskey lovingly cradled in his breast pocket. But early mornings was always open to an enlightening chat. Afternoons and evenings he wasnt as engaging on the talking front.

Below is 2 conceptual design dketches for a Muizenberg coralscape built environment endeavor. The reseach has been done.
